We changed the port of the “Agent wake-up communication port” service, which is used by default from the Mcafee ePO server to clients, from “8081” to “10600“. For this, we changed it over Mcafee ePO and from our institution’s Firewall.
After the change, when we get the TIE server to “wake up” via ePO, it gets a “failed” error as seen on the screen below. Because we did not change the port of the “ePO Agent Wakeup Port” service on the TIE server.
Now we login to the Mcafee TIE(Threat Intelligence Exchange) server with root privilege to change the “ePO Agent Wakeup Port” Port via Mcafee TIE(Threat Intelligence Exchange) Server. Then, to change the port, we enter the “config” settings on the TIE server with the “reconfig-ma” command.
reconfig-ma
When we press the “reconfig-ma” enter key, the “McAfee Agent Setup” screen will appear as follows.
We come to the “ePO Agent Wakeup Port” tab by pressing the enter key. We will replace it with the “10600” port. After typing the port, press enter. In the “ePO Username” part, we enter the user with admin rights on Mcafee ePO. In the “ePO Password” section, we enter the user’s password. Then we click the enter button. In the “Proceed” part, we enter the letter “Y“. In the “Continue” part, we enter the letter “Y” again. The configuration will be finished after waiting a few minutes. Then we restart the server with the “Reboot” button.
After the change, when we get the TIE server to “wake up” via ePO, we see that it gets “Completed” as seen on the screen below.
