After the Mcafee Agent was updated to version 5.7.4, the update was sent to the clients via ePO. As a result, “System Tree” on more than one McAfee ePO also appears from the same computer. Then, multiple Mcafee agent images are seen in the lower right corner of the computer. A task was created to install all computers with McAfee agent version 7.5.4 via McAfee ePO. We set this task to be loaded every 2 hours. Since the Mcafee Agent version in SCCM is 5.7.3, both the 5.7.3 version and the 5.7.4 agent are installed on the same computer. In this case, the above errors are received.

Resolving Multiple Mcafee Agent Image Errors

Logs were collected from the faulty computer with the “McAfee WebMER Client” program. As a result of the examinations on the logs, it seems that SCCM tried to send the 5.7.3 Agent package repeatedly and was reinstalled. It is recommended to stop sending the Agent via SCCM or install SCCM with the current McAfee agent 5.7.4.
